Day Six: Say Yes To Faith
Each of us has a choice to make in this next season. Will we allow doubt, fear, and unbelief to hold us hostage? Or will we take a stand and believe God for everything He has promised us?
In Matthew Chapter 8, we see Jesus in the boat with the disciples in the middle of a storm. It's an interesting story because while the storm is intense, Jesus is asleep! The disciples are all freaking out, so they wake Jesus and say, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" Then, Jesus responds to them, stating, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" There's something for us to learn from this passage. One of the most disheartening things in this story is the disciples' choice of words. Instead of speaking peace to the storm or asking the Lord for His help, they say, "We're going to drown!" Their words reveal their level of faith.
Have you ever been in a similar place? Have you ever allowed the things you see in the natural to cause you to speak doubt instead of speaking faith? I believe the last season was a challenge for all of us. We have seen a lot happen over the past few years, but we must continue to contend for what we have yet to see. God is doing something great even though it is not always visible to our natural eyes. Regardless of what may happen, let's say NO to fear, worry, and doubt, and YES to faith! Let's choose our words wisely, and I declare that we will see what we have faith enough to believe for!
DECLARATION/PRAYER: In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare that we will see what we have faith enough to believe for. We say yes to faith, and we say yes to every promise. We say yes to the will of the Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
