Day Thirty-Seven: Have A Seat

"He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:6 (CSB)

Take a moment, quiet the noise around you, and envision being seated in Heavenly places with Jesus Christ. Imagine how different the perspective is from above. Reflect for a moment about what being seated at a higher level reveals about our true identity and authority.

One of the things about our lives today is that "being seated" is a posture that many desire but few attain due to the pace we run at. Think about it this way we are running, and Jesus is seated. While this is not a posture readily practiced, it is our Savior's position and one we should surrender to every day.

Our daily posture is linked to us living in the abundance of our true identity as Sons and Daughters of the Kingdom. As a Son or Daughter, our position is fixed through Jesus Christ, but our posture is based on our surrender. While Jesus Christ has finished His part, we must do our part of surrendering fully to Him to live in that authority.

Luke 10:19 says, "Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing at all will harm you." We are promised an inheritance of authority. Not only are we to be seated in Heavenly places, but in this position, we have the authority over the enemy. We are above and not beneath! We now have full authority to trample on the snake that once attempted to take us out. He is under our feet. Our position shifted when Jesus Christ died and rose again, and then we were raised with Him.

Today, let us posture ourselves in a place of surrender, seated in Heavenly places. Let's see, at a higher level, stepping into the full authority and abundance of Jesus Christ as a Son or Daughter of the King. Go ahead and take your seat, Child of God!

PRAYER: Father, today I choose to surrender. I say yes and posture myself in worship and adoration to You. Today, as I am seated with You in Heavenly places, help me see my true identity and walk in it. I pray for divine connections and divine appointments to serve someone as You would today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
