Day Thirty-Five: Focus

"I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." - Psalm 16:8-11

One of the greatest privileges of the Christian life is the reality of being able to behold the beauty of the Lord. Through His Spirit's regenerative work, we can "behold the glory of God that is found in the face of Jesus Christ."

Ephesians 1 reveals that Paul prays for the church that "the eyes of their understanding would be opened," so they would ultimately come to know the Lord more intimately.

David said, "I have set the Lord always before me." David had made up His mind that no matter what, the Lord would always be preeminent in His life. This is what Made For More is all about. A life that's centred around the manifest Presence of God Himself.

It is truly "in Him we live, move, and have our being." May we continually set the Lord before us, maintain our gaze and access to His divine life, and perpetually live committed to His Perfect leadership. Let's take a moment and pray together to keep the Lord and His goodness before us continually.

PRAYER: Lord, I need to lock eyes with You as I continually give myself to Your leadership. Help me always set You before my face, so I may truly live and abide in You. I desire to know You more; will You open the eyes of my understanding and show me Your ways? I love You, Lord. Thank you for this. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
