Day Twenty-Seven: Walk By Faith & NOT By Sight
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7
When I read this scripture, I remind myself, "I'm not moved by what I see… I'm moved by what I believe". Holding fast to our faith will help us to live an abundant life.
One of the surest ways to limit your life is by focusing on what you see in the natural, and yet, sadly, most of us tend to live that way. However, we have received a beautiful invitation from the author and finisher of our faith, an invitation to dwell in peace. If we accept this invitation, it will require us to surrender our eyes again. In other words, sometimes you must close your eyes to see more clearly. Don't be moved by what you see (with your natural eyes) but rather by what you believe (your faith).
What has God said? Let His Word be the ground you walk on; this will change your life! What the Lord is doing in this next season is glorious, but you can only see this reality if you are willing to shift your focus. Rid yourself of the distraction of carnal sight, and He will give you divine vision. There's something so powerful about the resolve of those who have a vision from The Lord. They are not shaken, for they are firmly planted in faith. They are not afraid, for they take courage in the promises of God. They are not weak, for the joy of The Lord is their strength.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You that my hope is secured in You. Help me to live life abundantly by standing on Your Word. My faith is in You alone. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
