Day Thirteen: Say Yes To Obedience

And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king of who he testified and said, "I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will". Acts 13:22

When you desire to align your heart with the heart of God, the result is a life of saying yes to the will and ways of God, yes to obedience. In 1 Kings, the Israelites asked for a king like other nations, and God gave them Saul. While Saul answered the call to kingship, he failed to commit to the will and ways of God. After Saul's death, God raised David to be king in place of Saul. David didn't just say yes to the call only, but also the will and ways of God. David exemplified a life of obedience unto God and would be known by God as "a man after my heart, who will do all my will."

David pursued the heart of God, which ultimately resulted in a life of obedience to the will of God. God is looking for a man and woman to say yes to obedience unto Him no matter what it looks, sounds, or feels like. In this season of Made For More, I pray that as you pursue Him in fasting and prayer, you will be a man/woman after His heart who will do all His will.

DECLARATION/PRAYER: Father, have Your way in my life. I say yes to radical obedience, and I say yes to Your will and ways. No matter what it looks like and no matter what it sounds like, I say yes. Let Your kingdom come, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus' name. Amen!
