Day Twelve: Say Yes To The Word
"What delight comes to the one who follows God's ways! He won't walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner's way, nor be found sitting in the scorner's seat. His passion is to remain true to the Word of "I AM", meditating day and night on the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God's design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous." Psalm 1:1-3
Everything we need can be found in His Word! If we are to say Yes to the purpose and plan of God for our lives in 2023, we must say YES to the Word of God like never before!
Psalm 1:1-3 communicates to us what happens when we say YES to the Word of God! Our Yes to His Word keeps us spiritually ON TRACK! When God's Word governs our lives, it keeps us from falling into the ways of sin and temptation!
Saying Yes to the Word of God not only keeps us on track, but it also keeps us ROOTED! We live in a day and age when we are constantly bombarded with things trying to uproot us, and it could be negative comments on social media or a bad day at work. Without the Word of God, we are susceptible to living our lives based on our emotions! But when we live based upon the Word of God, we are like a tree that is rooted!
The Word of God also keeps you REFRESHED! There are times in our faith walk when we feel dry and weary, but in 2023, as you say YES to God's Word, you are saying yes to the refreshing and restorative power found in scripture.
Lastly, as we commit to God's Word, we have the confidence to know that we WILL BEAR FRUIT and remain prosperous! I believe this year will be the most prosperous year of your life! Not because of a promotion at work or a new opportunity but because you said Yes to the Word of God!
In 2023, we are saying Yes to the Word of God like never before!
